Music reviews

Filed under: Entertainments, Music Reviews — ericltkong @ 4:25 pm

Just got my hands on a few CDs yesterday after getting my pay. the CDs are from artist such as Alter Bridge, New Found Glory, Puddle of Mudd & Foo Fighters.

From the screen to the stereo Pt. 2

Firstly is the new album by New Found Glory (NFG) called, From the Screen to Your Stereo Pt. 2. it is the sixth album and is a follow up from the 2000 EP From the Screen to Your Stereo. the songs in the album are mostly cover songs from movies such as ‘Kiss Me’, ‘Iris’, ‘Lovefool’, to name a few. not only that, certain songs are performed by invited guest vocals too. the complete tracklist can be found HERE.

Next of course is the album by Alter Bridge named, Blackbird. it’s a very much anticipated album since their last release of their debut album, One Day Remains back in 2004.

Blackbird

It is the 2nd album from them and i can say it’s a bit different compare to their debut album back then. if you expect to hear more songs like the debut album then you’ll be disappointed. first single of the album is ‘Rise Today’ and my personal fav is 10th song from the album entitled ‘Watch Over You’. it’s a slow mellow touching song. the rest of the tracklist can be found HERE.

Next up is the Foo Figthers and they’ve released their 6th album to date entitled ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’. produced by Gil Norton who previously worked with the group on their second album, The Colour and the Shape which is one of my all-time fav album from them.

Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace

Honestly speaking, it’s been years since i last put my ear near any of the FF’s albums. maybe bcos i feel that their other album couldn’t live up the standard of ‘The Colour and The Shape’ album. rest of the tracklist can be found HERE.

Famous

Last CD i wanna review before i go will the long-awaited album from Puddle of Mudd entitled, Famous. it’s their 3rd album since their last released in 2003. they’re not as famed as the other 3 artist which i reviewed here despite of their current album name but it’s worth to give it a try. abit similar to Alter Bridge, their music are grunge rock on certain tracks. tracklist can be found by clicking HERE.

Enjoy ppl & GB…
