Today (sun), service ended early than was expected. and also, started the service a lil’ bit out of schedule this time. only a pianist and a semi-acoustic guitar accompany the worship team since the other music team has just gone or still on vacation mode.
the preacher was… i forgot! mind you, i did pay attention to the sermon. i think if not mistaken it was, Ps. Peter Pengiran. if i got the wrong person, then i think i just came out wit that name and dun ask me how did i do it. but i know there’s a ‘Pengiran’ in his name. the message was about looking back at Christmas (Luke 2:1-40), reminding us to quiet down and let Jesus fill our lives despite our busy schedules. and it was only 15mins sermon, quite fast though. i think maybe bcos the pastor is in a hurry to go ‘ngabang’. hehe… maklumlah, everyone still in their Christmas mood i guess.
Saw a few frens who came back either from their holiday or semester break. of course, Ps. John (our youth pastor) and family is back from their ‘honeymoon’. and this week, EYM is back on track again but not sure i’ll be going or not. Maxwin and his family (except for Hywell, who decide to work there) is back in here, briefly since last fri. Max is still the same as i last saw before he left in the beginning of the year. there may not be drastic physical change but i’m sure there is changes in his spiritual side though, dun you agree. another fren who is back from w. malaysia is Esther. not sure when she was back cos i din get a chance to catch up wit her.
Well, after tomolo will be a grand new year. everyone looking forward to it, cos got off-day from work. too bad it doesn’t fall on a saturday. yet, i haven’t got out a piece of paper and jot down my new resolution for this coming year. but definitely the first on the list will be, to pass my law unit this time! other than that, i still haven’t sit down and think through it yet.
Still at the end of the day of wat we expect to achieve for this coming year, let’s leave it to our Lord the Saviour. i agree wit wat Justin’s post has mentioned. that is, RENEW our commitment with God and surrender to Him. it’s hard but not impossible.
Well before i go, i wish everyone who is reading this have a Blessed New Year 2008 and God bless everyone of us!
cheers…
