Having watched the American Idol (season 7) recently, one of the contestant grabbed my attention though. the host actually mentioned that David Cook sang “Billie Jean“. all i know is that, “Billie Jean” was a version by Michael Jackson. however, brother Johnathan told me that there is another version by Chris Cornell. and Chris Cornell reminds me of he’s the vocalist/guitarist from the band Soundgarden and Johnathan further added that Cornell was also part of Audioslave.
So, i decided to look up for his album and anxious to listen his version of “Billie Jean“. And this song is included in his current album, “Carry On“. This album is Cornell’s second solo album, after Euphoria Morning in 1999, and his first since leaving his former band Audioslave.
The album features fourteen tracks, including the first album appearance of “You Know My Name,” the theme song for Casino Royale, the latest installment in the James Bond franchise. The album also features a cover of Michael Jackson’s hit song from Thriller, “Billie Jean.“

I personally find the album abit mellow since it’s his solo album without the band members. 3/5 rating then.
