Apocalyptica - Worlds Collide (2007)

Apocalyptica is a metal band which consist of 3 cellists and a drummer. they’re well-known for playing cover songs other rock bands such as Metallica, Sepultura, Remmstein and Pantera to name a few. i know them thru one of their cover song of ‘Nothing Else Matters‘ by Metallica. most of their songs are just melody but they do have guest artists, like in this album which i’m gonna review about.

“Worlds Collide” is their 6th albums and it consists special guests Till Lindemann, Corey Taylor, Adam Gontier, Dave Lombardo, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Cristina Scabbia. fyi, Cristina Scabbia is the vocalist from Milan-based metal band, Lacuna Coil. think i made a review on this band a while ago, click HERE.

This album, i give it a 4.5/5 rating. it’s as heavy as ever but not too noisy that’s the good thing.

A lil’ more info on Cristina, she have collaborated wit Alter Bridge on one of the song entitled ‘Watch Over You‘ in a new version. not sure when it’ll be release though, since i love the original version as well. it was the only soft mellow song that you can find in the “Blackbird” album.
