I’ve discovered Eric Johnson‘s music from the Guitar Hero III as i mentioned in the previous post and decided to look for this particular songs from this album to try it out.
This album is quite old and it was his 3rd solo album released that time. some songs were written for remembrance. the song ‘Steve’s Boogie‘ is dedicated to Austin pedal steel guitarist Steve Hennig. Johnson‘ also revealed in the same interview that the song Song for George‘ is dedicated to an 80-year-old guitarist friend of his named George Washington. Additionally, ‘East Wes‘ is dedicated to jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery.
Here’s a video live from the 2nd track, ‘Cliffs of Dover‘:
“Death Magnetic” is the upcoming ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. The album will be the band’s first to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo, and the first to be produced by Rick Rubin.
“Death Magnetic” also marks the first time in the band’s history in which all band members contributed to each song on an album, and is the first album in twenty years to feature an instrumental track.
