Back from Gawai holiday few hours ago. this post is really a short one due to the fact that tomolo i’m heading back to work. will post the complete story when i get all the photos done. but here’s a sms i received on this special occasion.

Company’s latest memo

This is something that i received from my colleague thru an email. I really didn’t know that he got so much time to even typed it and mailed it to me. read on…

For those who are not satisfied with the current job, you are encouraged to bring junk food such as peanuts, crackers or candies to the office and enjoy yourselves. Mean while, the company will measure your overall performance throughout the year in consideration of salary increment or working hours extension. Those who are not taking their breakfast in the morning are encouraged to do so at the coffee shop nearby SY office rather than having their breakfast in the pantry. This is so to avoid unnecessary troubles and complaints from the other departments’ head. Kindly take note that if your breakfast duration is more than 30minutes, be ready to meet some security guards waiting at your workplace. Your co-operation is highly appreciated. Happy resigning and protesting.

Random…

5 more days and i’m off for vacation wit my sweetheart and a bunch friends. it’s been awhile since i last went for a well-deserved vacation. the last i remembered was in 2003. it means to say, i’ve never stepped out Miri land for a long time!

Well, now i can go away for a few days break which was coincidently Gawai Festival holidays. it’ll be a convoy journey by land. it’s not my first going on land for a long distance. i can say it’s my 6th time if not mistaken.

I’ll be heading to Betong (if i din get the destination’s name wrong) but too bad, won’t be heading down to Kuching. maybe some other day i guess. dun bother to ask where’s is this place, just go the Tourist Information Centre and get the map of Sarawak.

And here’s something i wanna share wit you ppl out there in case you miss it on Kennysia‘s blog. it’s a song entitled “Here In My Home“, sang by 52 local artistes. you can dl it after watching the video HERE, and it’s free (Malaysian love free stuffs anyway!)

A week of hibernation is over…

A BIG ‘thank you’ to TM for fixing my phone in a week’s time, taking into consideration of elsewhere faced a similar problem. this was all due to the bad weather that hit my area last tuesday around midnight. was totally unprepared for when the strong wind from the after-effect of a typhoon in the Philippines. trees fell and roof blown away in just an hour or so, leaving some ppl waking up still not knowing wat exactly happen.

At that time, i was still on the www trying to search for articles to be used for my malay presentation and report. my line was chopped-off the next morning i try to go online, and it happened right after i went off after midnight.

First thing that pissed me off was the Malaysian Meteorological Dept. there was nothing on the newspaper at all warning the ppl of the upcoming storm. wanna know wat did they forecasted that day? here’s the evidences:

Wtf man… wat kinda weather forecast is this?! it was rain and strong wind but they just said it was only rain and thunderstorm. only know how to forecast rain and sunshine that’s all, nothing at all. at least give ample warning on weather like this, dun just say it’s raining and thunder. even kids also know that rain comes wit thunder and lightning. next time if got typhoon (*touch wood*), sure they’ll just put there ‘Strong wind’ as the forecast. hopeless ppl….

Enough of that, nowadays bcos of the hike in the oil price that it really affects the ppl badly. just take for example last sunday afternoon i went to pick my mum from the airport and this is wat i saw.

Push…push…

Last time, they used to drive eventhough it was for less than 10m while lining up to take passengers. but now… they just push like as if their car rosak. certainly, fuel prices really affected them to that extent that they can’t even afford to just simply start their car and only move a merely 10m distance. sigh… next time i think the oil price will shoot up so bad that it’ll end up like this:

To say the taxi driver are poor are not really true. why? well, cos not all of them uses a wira as taxi and there was one exception;

Fu-yoh… nissan sentra oh

Not really a big deal wit a Nissan but i got tired of seeing either a Saga or Wira bah. sien leh… i still doubt of how the owner of this nissan able to survive wit the economy as of now. taxi business are not really booming at all for all these years. i still think owning a beca is the best deal, looking at the economy now.
