First time ever to have an all-English affair in the final (21st. May. 08), a day to remember by all the fans of Red and Blue.
Such a big game in the land of Mother Russia indeed. i din get the chance watch it LIVE but seeing the result this morning on the net going to the side that i supported for years (11yrs in total), was satisfying enough for myself.
I honestly didn’t think my fav team could’ve beat Chelsea easily. from the result, it was true enough that it leveled at normal full-time. from then on, luck played a major role. it could’ve have easily gone either way for both teams.
One team uses its financial power to buy star players as if they were playing some football management game, which we (including myself) keep dreaming of. while the other team focus on a mixture of youth, wonderkids and veteran players (Scholesy & Giggsy). there’s this saying of ‘money cannot buy success’ proves to be quite true in this case.

I was wit them in the 98/99 season, which they won the Treble and now i’m still with them. there’s ups and downs supporting but that’s how it should be. no team can win every year, but of course you’ll love it if they do it over and over again.
Anyone has videos on the highlight especially the penalty-shootout, do let me know in the comment box.
