Incubus – Look Alive (2007)

The last album from Incubus  was Morning View and the albums they have after the preceding was abit unacceptable for me. finally last week, i decide to take the risk to make my ears listen to their latest compilation. i was surprised to see that most of the tracks on the cd are instrumental. it’s something new to me from them though.  

Look Alive is a live DVD and CD by the rock band Incubus. The DVD includes concert footage from the band’s 2007 Light Grenades World Tour, plus personal footage shot by the band during the touring cycle and documentation of guitarist Mike Einziger’s operation for extreme Carpal Tunnel syndrome.

The CD comprised of newly recorded original music interludes, scored by guitarist Mike Einziger, plus 6 additional live tracks. Tracks 1 – 10 are all instrumental, fairly minimalist (track 7 being the sole exception of not being minimalist) and some tracks are quite different to anything Incubus has previously recorded. Track 9, “Here In My Room” is a keyboard-only instrumental version of a track from the A Crow Left of the Murder album.
